Les cinémas valaisans offrent une expérience diversifiée, allant des blockbusters aux films indépendants, avec des salles chaleureuses et une programmation variée qui valorise la culture locale....
Michelle Ringeisen (*1971 in Benoni, South Africa) has been living in Lax (VS), since 1991. She opened her own art studio in 2018.
Her art reflects on questions of identity, especially in connected to her origin and childhood during the Apartheid era. She explores the factors which globally connect people of different cultures and origin.
She is fascinated by the african Ubuntu philosophy, and is convinced that our own identity is formed by the way we interact with our environment, animals and other humans. Figurative paintings, often depicting metaphorical elephants, reflect these thoughts.
A further aspect of her work is derived from the art of the Ndebele Tribal Art. Creating artworks that are inspired by the colourful, geometrical and symbolic style of the Ndebele is simultaneously an Hommage to the Ndebele women and a personal form of meditation.
