Four Facets

In 2024, the open-air exhibition "unSICHTBAR," organized by Visarte Wallis, brought artists from diverse backgrounds together to display their work across the Valais landscape. It was during this event that a shared creative connection grew into a collaborative project. On the initiative of Heribert Brügger, four friends and participating artists—Heribert Brügger, Sara Imboden Reinke, Michelle Ringeisen, and Heidi Ruffiner—decided to bring their dialogue indoors and organize a joint exhibition at the Galerie St. Laurent in Leukerbad.

While each artist works with distinct styles, techniques, and backgrounds, their pieces naturally connect around themes of the human experience, nature, and identity.

Heribert Brügger brings over 25 years of experience in oil painting, focusing on portraits that try to capture the personality and character of his subjects.

Sara Imboden Reinke focuses on drawing and painting, exploring how human emotions interact with nature and our environment.

Michelle Ringeisen, an active member of the Swiss Association of Female Artists (SGBK), exhibits her work regularly and reflects on her Swiss-South African background to look at identity, equality, and cultural ties. She also works as an art teacher, running regular courses at the Zeughaus Kultur in Brig and in her own studio in Lax.

Heidi Ruffiner has been painting regularly for over two decades. Inspired by the sentiment "in beauty lies comfort" (In der Schönheit liegt der Trost), her wish is to highlight the beauty in daily life to bring comfort to a world often flooded with negative news. She also shares her passion by teaching creative workshops in her own studio in Brig.

Located in the center of Leukerbad, this exhibition brings together four distinct voices in a relaxed gallery setting. It invites visitors to explore these different perspectives and find the common threads that link them together.
